Vitreous slip develop their own shining. Usually they do not need to be coated. In order to achieve even stronger colours a coating with a transparent glaze is possible. Vitreous slip are applied on to biscuited shards. The range of colours can be optionally increased by colouring the white vitreous slip with oxides and pigments.
